Baltimore Oriole

This little juvie decided he would hang around yesterday and today and try out all three hummingbird feeders. I know they like sweet stuff but I didn't have any oranges to put out for him so I put out a saucer of grape jelly. He loved it! But, he still continues to drink from the hummer feeders. He sure is a cutie!

He is checking out the tree and the other birds

Oh, I think I see a feeder down there

I think I'll go for it

Wonder if she can see me on this hummingbird feeder?

Now that's a Burger!!!

CLEARFIELD, Pa. (AP) May 2, 2005 — The burger war is growing. Literally.

Denny's Beer Barrel Pub, which lost its crown as the home of the world's biggest burger earlier this year, is now offering a new burger that weighs a whopping 15 pounds.

Dubbed the Beer Barrel Belly Buster, the burger comes with 10.5 pounds of ground beef, 25 slices of cheese, a head of lettuce, three tomatoes, two onions, a cup-and-a-half each of mayonnaise, relish, ketchup, mustard and banana peppers - and a bun.

It costs $30. BURGER WAR

They're BACK!

I was sitting out in the front yard with Albie and what did I see? A little male ruby-throated hummer! YEAH!!! He flew right in my face as if to say "I'm back so where is my food"? haha I am a happy camper now. I rushed right in and got the feeder all ready for him. Hopefully he will be back tomorrow. I just love the hummers ...

Squeaky Red has returned!

She was posing for me today

ShutterFreak Photo

Went for a drive thru the country on Friday and these are a few of my favorites. The first one is where my aunt Allie used to live many years ago and we visited her often when I was a small child. I drive by this old place every spring and fall to take photos.

I love this photo. This is where my Mothers uncle Rassie used to live (now that is a strange name for a person)

Just beautiful. Taken by the lake in NC.

WTF?

The old man next door with the piece of shit pickup has still not fixed the gasoline leak! I ask him this morning when he planned on getting it fixed and his response was 'when I get the money'. I told him I was tired of having gasoline fumes in my apartment and at night the whole apartment reeked of gasoline fumes. This old peckerhead looked at me and said 'BULLSHIT'!!! So I picked up the phone and called the office and spoke with the manager and she informed me that she had indeed sent him a letter stating to either get the leak fixed or he would be evicted on April 15. He has no intentions of getting the damned old piece of shit pickup fixed. So, therefore I will be smelling and breathing gasoline fumes for over another month. This whole thing sucks!! This could and should have been taken care of over a year ago when I first complained to the manager about it. Needless to say, I am not very happy about the present circumstances regarding my living conditions. Actually, I am totally PISSED OFF!!

The old SOB and his piece of shit pickup can go to hell. What an old coot he is....

The SOB that lives next to me............

Over a year ago I complained about the old beat up piece of shit pickup that the old man has parked in front of his apartment. The old man has lived here for over 6 years and I have lived next to him for 5 years. The old piece of shit pickup has been leaking gasoline for 6 years. Enough already! I am sick of waking up in the middle of the night and my whole apartment is filled with the nauseating smell of gas!!

Wonder who I have to call to get this taken care of? Obviously, the apartment manager doesn't plan on doing anything about it. Of course she won't! She doesn't live here so it doesn't mean shit to her. If this was an actual city, there would be a fire marshall but this isn't a city. It is a one-horse redneck little community. This old piece of shit pickup is a fire hazard deluxe! Someone is gonna drive by here, flip a ciggie out the car window and KABOOM .... it is gonna blow. What will the apartment manager do then? Say she didn't know anything about the old piece of shit pickup having a gas leak??? Yeah, that is what she will say.

What kind of person lets their vechicle drip gasoline for 6 years? A complete friggin MORON!!!

GOOGLE just keeps rollin' out the good stuff!

They are upping the storage in GMail to 2 gigs!! And, you can now compose your emails using HTML!! GOOGLE never ceases to amaze me. The real kicker is ........ GOOGLE stuff is all FREE!

I "wuv" you GOOGLE. You soooooooo totally RULE!!!!

Just wondering.........

if people think less of you when/if you go out in public looking like "grunge"? Grunge, in this case would be baggy pants and an over-sized t-shirt. I never gave it a second thought, but obviously there are certain people who think that clothes make "the person". I've always looked at it this way ...... you can wear the most expensive clothes that money can buy but that has nothing to do with what kind of person you really are on the inside. Actually, I have always tried to shy away from this type of person. Seems like I should try a bit harder in the future!

YEAH!!!!

The new Linksys Wireless Router (802.11g/SpeedBooster) arrived yesterday. That crappy 802.11b router and card (on the left) are going back to where they came from. ADIOS!!

Wireless

I bought a new wireless router the other day. Hooked it all up and it worked just fine but then realized I had bought 802.11b EGADS that is old old old. Yesterday I ordered a LINKSYS WRT54GS ROUTER (802.11g) and a LINKSYS Wireless G Notebook Adapter. The router has speedboost so it should be much faster at transferring files over the network. Now I have to take the other router and card back to old WalMart. I can't believe they even had that thing on the shelf! The firmware version was from January 2004. No more buying computer stuff at old WallyWorld. I should have known better to begin with. I ordered the new router and card from Newegg.com .. no shipping fees and no tax! Plus, a $10 rebate on each item. YEAH!!

It is a gloom & doom day in this part of the country. Raining, raining and more on the way. I would much rather see snow any day.

Peterson Gets Death Sentence

I don't agree with the Judge's decision but then again, my thoughts on the matter doesn't mean a damn thing. Listening to the Jury's remarks outside the courthouse makes you wonder why they convicted him. They have made some really strange comments and I am sure they will be used in Scott's appeal. When will this appeal take place? Probably not for 10 years or longer. How long will Peterson sit on death row in San Quentin State Prison? Close to 20 years before he actually gets executed. What a waste of the tax payers money.

Yesterday I caught the Coopers Hawk dining on one of my little male Cardinals! He could have chosen one of the many nasty little House Sparrows or one of the gazillion Grackles that were in my yard, but NO! Guess he wanted a "prime cut" for his lunch!

Linux

I installed Mandrake the other day. I had it installed once before but removed it. I have a Debian install on another computer but I think I like Mandrake the best. Wimpdoze is a walk in the park compared to a Linux OS. The CLI confuses me because I don't know the codes very well ... have to keep looking at reference pages to find the code I want to use. Now, all I need is a good tutorial on SAMBA. A well written informative tutorial would be great. Can I find one? NOT I have found several but they are too complicated for me to understand. I will just keep looking and if I don't find one, I suppose I will have to break down and buy a LINUX book.
